1. Musical Spanish, "La Bamba Sound and Word Puzzle": (Click on Sound and Word Puzzle) When students place puzzle pieces in correct spots, the puzzle sings a part of "La Bamba". They can discover more of the meaning by exploring more of the "La Bamba Spanish Lesson" page. This activity is for the novice spanish speaker or can be used to start beginning spanish unit.

2. Apples 4 the Teacher, "Counting in Spanish - Connect the Dots": This is a very simple game which as you connect the dots it counts aloud for you. As you finish the dots it plays the Costa Rican national anthem and displays their nation's flag. Really fun reward for doing the activity!

3. Visual Link Languages, "Burrito Builder": A game for more advanced spanish students. It provides a fun learning environment that incorporates fun Spanish sounding theme music, as well as Spanish words, vocabulary, and even some computer skills to practice typing! This game was at times even challenging for me, so students should be well prepared to use this as a review game for vocabulary.

4. PBS Kids, "Maya and Miguel", "Ritmo Global": A really cool thing about this site is that you can change this whole site from Spanish to English, so the kids can switch it back and forth if they get confused about work meanings and check if they are remembering it right. This game lets you create and play with sounds from cultures all over the world to make a fun little blip of music as well as seeing what the instruments and other musical terms are called in Spanish.

5. Scholastic, "Celebrate Hispanic Heritage", "Pinata Concentration Game": This game has fun little blips of music to show if you got the question correct or not. Also, it has someone speaking the words in spanish so kids can hear the actual pronunciations, as well as, using spanish terms to encourage and reward.

6. 123 Teach Me, "Flea 2.5": Warning: This game is addictive! I couldn't stop playing it and it does get challenging! This game is extremely versatile and can change the questions from whatever subject you want. When on Spanish, it asks a variety of different terms and switches from knowing it in Spanish to translating it back from Espanol to English. it has a fun game to go along with it that has a fun, bouncy, tune in the back ground and fun sound effects as the game goes on.

7. Childtopia, "Juego Educativos y Divertidos para Ninos", "Do-Re-Me": This game use all Spanish instructions and allows kids to discover music while using Spanish. In this game they must figure out where to place the note by listening to what the instructor tells them to do.

8. Childtopia, "Juego Educativos y Divertidos para Ninos", "Which Instrument is this?": This game asks in Spanish for the student to discover which instrument is making the noise. It also says the name of the instrument in Spanish when you get it wrong or right. This is a great activity for younger children.

9. Childtopia, "Juego Educativos y Divertidos para Ninos", "Which Instrument plays twice?": This game gives you direction in Spanish and asks for you to watch and listen to see which instrument plays twice. Every time the instrument is displayed it also plays a sound.
